To meet OSHA requirements for many occupations, the mask must be "Fit-tested." Two methods can be used, Qualitative and Quantitative. Quantitative is the most accurate and records the actual particle count measured during the Fit-test. ONLY DRAWBACK? After fit testing is complete - that mask is thrown away! It doesn't have to!

Fit-testing Requirements

A mask, chosen for size, must have a "Port" inserted into the mask, creating a hole. The Port is connected to the Testing Equipment. After the testing is completed, the mask is still perfectly good - except - it now has a hole/Port in it!

A "Port-plug" has been designed to "plug" the metal port that was placed into the mask - simple!  Testing of the port-plug has been completed to validate that the mask with the Port-plug still passes the OSHA testing protocol
